
After graduating from Chico State with a B.A. in Organizational Communication and a minor in Business Administration, Melody decided to follow in her grandmother's footsteps and pursue her life long career goal of becoming a hairstylist. Melody wanted to combine her love of fashion and compassion for helping others and express her creative talent in hair design.
Melody completed the Apprentice Program at Stages and became a Stylist on the floor in early 2012. She performs cuts, color, highlights, and Brazilian Blowouts. Whether you want your hair to whisper, speak, or scream, Melody can provide you with the classic or edgy cut and complementary color to suit your lifestyle. She specializes in precision cuts and enjoys creating clean, crisp lines especially the classic bob, as well as taking an A-line bob to the extreme. She also enjoys creating bombshell looks with long layers and big bouncy waves.

Ngoc graduated from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology and immediately moved to New York City to apprentice at Vidal Sassoon and to experience life in the Big Apple. While in New York, Ngoc participated in various Fashion Week shows over a span of four (4) years, and assisted with the television shows "Make Me a Supermodel 2" and "My Fair Wedding," as well as styled hair for American Eagle Catalogue. He also styled for various fashion look-books and independent photoshoots on the side.
Ngoc recently moved back to San Francisco and joined the Stages Team as a Senior Stylist. He performs cuts and color, but because they are the most challenging on a technical level, Ngoc specializes in cutting bobs and short haircuts. He considers himself a conservative stylist, but is happy to accommodate a guest who wants an edgy look. He enjoys being able to show a guest possibilities and different ways of styling hair.

Amy is a true New Orleans original graduating from the Aveda Institute New Orleans. She joined the Stages Team in late 2011.
Amy likes classic looks with a conservative edge and specializes in making fine hair appear full and voluptuous. She loves creating bombshell blondes, brilliant brunettes and radiant reds.
Amy performs personalized cuts and colors that complement face shape, eye color and skin tone. She also believes hair should complement lifestyle. Amy strives to enhance natural beauty through complementary colors and classic textured shapes. Aside from performing cuts and colors, Amy is certified in the Aveda Smooth Infusion Retexturing Treatment, a 74% plant derived permanent straightening treatment, Aveda permanents and Brazilian Blowouts.

Mimi joined the team on the salon floor as a stylist in January 2010. She performs cuts, color, relaxers and updos.
Mimi won the Stylist of the Year Award at her previous salon which secured her place on the Board of Directors. She participated in the Assistant Program as a mentor and educator. Mimi was part of a team that partnered with Virgin America Airlines to assist their employees in looking and feeling their best. She has traveled to New York, Baltimore and Los Angeles for continuing education and her work has been featured in Gentry Magazine.

Nicholas joined Stages SalonSpa’s team in early 2010. He graduated from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis in 2005 and specializes in cuts, colors, relaxers and updos.
Nicholas tries to find a point of connection with our guests, and there is always something there if they are open. He loves meeting people and trying to find ways for them to fall in love with their hair. Nicholas sets his intention to truly be of service and to constantly look for areas that he can improve.
Nicholas builds haircuts from a solid foundation. He likes to find expression in texture and design options. He cuts a strong shape that will grow out well, and introduce fringe, texture, and shatter or break down the shape to create movement. He is really concerned with longevity; I want my guests to still be getting compliments on their cut after 10 weeks.

Thomas joined our team in early 2011. He moved here from Oklahoma for adventure and to learn new ways of doing hair. Thomas has been a stylist since 1999 and still loves it after all these years. He has completed continuing education through Toni and Guy and is a former color educator for Toni and Guy.
Thomas’s work has appeared in and on the cover of The Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball Dancers (Thunder Girls) Calendar in 2008 and 2009. Thomas is the type of stylist that likes fresh and modern custom cuts and colors. He considers himself a classic stylist with an edge.
His philosophy about hair is to keep things simple and effortless with a touch of glamour. Thomas performs cuts, color, balayage, perms and relaxers. He is currently learning up dos and make up application. He specializes in curly hair, long hair and men’s cuts. His color specialties are blondes, dimensional color, and thoughtful highlight placement.

Ursula is a sassy native San Franciscan with a love for all that makes this city so special: diversity, color, style, heart, creativity, and authenticity. She began her career at Stages by completing our rigorous apprenticeship program. She is a detail-oriented cut and color stylist who favors texture and movement.
Ursula believes that putting a foundation into a cut and color is a neccesity. The fun comes with bringing in texture, color placement, and personalizing the style to make the look your own.

Like carefully applying make-up to make it appear as though you're wearing very little, I want to bring out your natural beauty and make your hairstyle appear effortless. Linda moved here from Arizona and joined the Stages Team in March 2011. She is a cut and color stylist and loves to create up-dos. She likes to bring out one’s inner beauty with natural looking highlights and classic cuts - long layers, bobs and razor cuts. Linda likes to create beautiful, effortless looking hair, styles that you can recreate at home.
Linda has attended continuing education courses through the Aveda network and Vidal Sassoon.
